Product
Synthetic bone
substitutes
The EUROCER range
was developed by FH ORTHOPEDICS to meet the
issue of bone defects encountered in orthopedic
surgery.
The various EUROCER products result from the
work of a group of surgeons of the GECO (Groupe
d'Etude en Chirurgie Osseuse), the Pro
Biomateria Group, which chose a new approach to
substitutes by writing special specifications
for each type of indication.
This method helped define chemical and physical
properties for each EUROCER product. Their
manufacturing in compliance with ISO 9001 and EN
46001 standards, guarantees the quality of
EUROCER products.
The latest published work and results achieved
by Pro Biomateria resulted in the features of
EUROCER 200 changing into a EUROCER 200 PLUS
range. The bone substitute porosity was
increased from 40 to 60 % helping
osteointegration and resorption speed and
quality.

Features
Eurocer 200 PLUS is
a porous ceramic that should not be used in
areas subjected to compression strength higher
than 10 mPa.
Eurocer 200 PLUS is a
calcium phosphate-based synthetic product :
hydroxylapatite (HA) and tri-calcium phosphate
(TCP).
Its chemical composition
(HAP 65 % and TCP 35 %) and its porous structure
(60 % total porosity partially interconnected,
150 to 300 µ diameter pores) provide
osteo-integration and gradual
resorption.

Use
Eurocer 200 Plus
must be used in living and not infected bone. To
help the osteo-integration and further quick
bone reconstruction, it is advisable, whenever
possible, to combine EUROCER 200 PLUS with bone
fragments and/or bone marrow.
No after effect has been
observed to date

Indications
EUROCER 200 PLUS is
a synthetic bone substitute available in various
geometric shapes designed to meet the following
indications : arthrodesis and vertebral
laminoplasty, hip prosthesis revision,
ligamentoplasty tunnel filling, benign and
post-traumatic tumor bone defects, osteotomy
(tibia, femur).

Presentation
and packaging
The Eurocer 200
PLUS implants are packaged and delivered sterile
in double packages (25 Kgy gamma
radiation).
